Question about object of a sentence.
Hello,
I have a question about the following sentence:
"He had been members of X, Y, and Z."
with X, Y, and Z being three different organizations/associations.
I was recently talking to my friend, she feels that it should be:
"He had been a member of X, Y, and Z."
So, I'm confused now, too. Please help.
