Question about "Not only ..." structure

I will use a phrase I used in one of my previous posts:

"Not only did I have a good time, but also experienced their well-known/renown hospitality."

I was wondering if in the first part of the sentence negative form could be used.

I suppose no, since it is a parallel structure.

Is this correct?

Thanks in advance!

"I was wondering if in the first part of the sentence negative form could be used "To add emphasis, we can use not only at the beginning of a clause. When we do this, we invert the subject and the verb: Not only was it raining all day at the wedding but also the band was late. Not only will they paint the outside of the house but also the inside.
