Question about intructions for a listening comprehension exercise (4)
Hi teachers, This is for a listening comprehension exercise. If this is what the students will hear: "He was hungry and tired and dirty. And afraid ... but not of this old woman.", is this a suitable question to ask? Is there a better one? Write down how Alex was and if he was afraid of her.
Thanks in advance.

Hi again TS, Write down how Alex was and if he was afraid of her. HOW ALEX WAS is kind of vague. IF probably should be WHETHER.

Hi KrisBlueNZ, Thank YOU so much for your reply. It's really clear. Asking about Alex's attitude to the old lady might confuse the student, because all we know about his attitude to her is that he is not afraid of her. That's why I thought it would be better to ask that question explicitly. Then I can say explicity, 'Write down what his attitude was
