Question about gas, gasoline, and fuel

Hi,

I know that in the U.S. gas is shortened for gasoline. If some gasoline is leaking from the car, can I say:

The gasoline is leaking;

The gas is leaking;

Or the fuel is leaking?

All are acceptable but "The gas is leaking." is the most common.
