question about falling and rising tones

0Hello everyone, i found this forum while looking for an answer, but i cant seem to find it so i'll post and see if someone can help me with this:02br

00I've been trying to understand the uses of the tones but im a little confused...02br
00 I think 01b00rise02b00 is used in Yes-No questions02br
00and 01b00fall02b00 in WH-Questions, statements, and commands.02br
00 But i feel like im missing some uses, for example: my teachers gave me this dialogue where and old lady is talking to a doctor. And they both speak as if they have the dominant role in the conversation.02br
01b00 Do i have to use a rising tone when one of them makes statements as if they had the dominant role?02b02br
02br
00Also, they gave me a little hint that when it comes to some questions i have to figure out if the speaker is trying to find out the answer or if he's making sure of the answer. 02br
01b00What's the difference in intonation between these two situations? What tone should I use in each case? 02b02br

00I hope you guys can help me! 0-
