Question about embedded questions

For example, the sentence "Who do you think is the best leader ?" sounds correct.

But "Who do you think are you ?" sounds incorect. Instead we say "Who do you think you are ?"

So what i wonder is if the first sentence is correct or not and if it's correct i think that means we can also say "Who do you think are you?"
Am I right about it ?
