Question about email signature

I am moving into a new position at work. The previous employee had the following signature : Aerial Imaging Product Development.

Is this correct or should it be: Aerial Imaging Product Developer?

Perhaps both are correct?

Protocol could differ from company to company, but I think either works fine. One makes the tag that of the company you work for, the other makes the tag yours. [ If your user name is correct, it's the first time I've known of our not answering Anon posts.

His signature was his department or area of expertise; the one you suggest would be your job title.

The previous person used the department name in his signature. It can be used for messages from the department in general, or on behalf of the department. If someone has a question, they could direct it to anyone in the department for an

I just think it's silly that an anonymous post does not get answered right away, however when I register I get an answer, multiple answers immediately. Forcing someone to register takes out the anonymity of being on the internet. And I know the reason is only to show stats of X amount of registered users.

We are unpaid volunteers and so you may or may not get an immediate answer.

Both would be appropriate given the purpose and context of the email text.

For emails to your boss, use your name and optionally, your role (in case they might forget your new assignment.)
