Question about correct Grammar

My friend is very intelligent but her first language is not English.

The grammar in this sentence does not sound correct:

We are interested in purchasing your property at 45 South St., Plymouth, MA. Are you
interested to sell?

My guess would be, that it should read:

We are interested in purchasing your property at xxxx. Are you interested in selling it ?

Top answer

1) I agree with you. 2) Remove the comma after "be". If you want to put it somewhere else, you can put it after "intelligent".

  • 3) I don't like your colon after "read".
  • Omit the colon and put what follows "read" in quatation marks or italics on the same line as "read" is.

Don't ask me why, but in English, "I am interested...." is always followed by "in..." and not the infinitive.
