Question about comma

Hi All!

I have a question about comma (it would be important):

Is the comma needed in the following sentence? (and also is this sentence grammatically correct as I'm not 100 percent sure plus would an exclamation mark be better?)

You can't help it, only ignore it.

Thank you in advance!

You can't help it, just ignore it. The comma is OK for informal writing, but in formal contexts it should either be replaced by a semicolon or a period, or a conjunction should be inserted: You can't help it; just ignore it. You can't help it.
