Question about : "Argue the point of"

Hi everyone,

I'am a french net surfer trying to have a good english, so please don't be arsh on me ;-)

So my question is :

Can I say " One might argue the point of the relevance to ...(for example) eat with knife and fork"?

I know that "argying the point" kind of means "having a debate" but Iam not sure about this specific grammatical use. Is it possible, and if not, how can I use "argue to the point" in that specific sentence?

So please, thank you by advance for the enlightenment !

Have a nice day everyone,

Bye.

Here are some examples of syntax

Example 1
Tom and Mary discussed A and B.
Tom argued that A was better than B. In my experience, it's not very natural here to say "Tom argued the point that A was better than B
