Question about a recipe

I'm not sure I understand everything in the recipe below:

Toasted Coconut Cocoa Rounds

To toast your own nuts, heat them in the oven at 350°F until lightly browned and fragrant (about 10 minutes). For coconut, follow the same method, but reduce the cooking time.

½ cup almond butter

1 teaspoon coconut oil or other recommended fat

1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder

1½ cups shredded unsweetened coconut, toasted

Combine the almond butter and oil in a small bowl. Mix in the cocoa. Drop mixture by teaspoons into a bowl of the coconut and gently roll into balls, coating in coconut. Refrigerate about an hour or until firm. Makes about 16 rounds

At the beginning one is supposed to "toast your own nuts", but I can't see where these nuts are used in the recipe?

What is "a bowl of the coconut"? Is it a hollowed coconut?

I understand that "rounds" here mean the same as "balls"?
