Question about a Prophet

Which Prophet is called Job?

We call Job by another name that's why I constructed the question. Please tell me if the question is correct and not offended. Also tell me if the 'P' in the 'Prophet' should be capitalised?

Hi I'd say that, if you are writing for an audience for whom Job is a Prophet, then the question is OK and the capital 'P' is correct, as a mark of respect. Possibly, you could say: Which Prophet is also called Job? For an academic or general audience, it is a matter of style.

  • Personally, I would still use the capital if the word appears, by way of title, immediately before name; but otherwise I would use lower case when referring to that prophet - It is believed that, a couple of miles southeast of Ramia, there is the resting place of a prophet.
  • It is the tomb of the Prophet Ayyub, known in Biblical texts as the Prophet Job With regards, Dave
