Question

What is the word for engaging in something by yourself?

I want to subsitute the word in this sentence.

"I will not engage in sin anymore"

I don't know of a verb you can replace "engage" with, but perhaps adding "solitary" as an adjective or "solitarily" as an adverb has the sense you are looking for?
