Question

you're all hysterical right now so I won't bother taking the argument further.

is this correct? and would it change anything to replace argument with discussion?

" "So" is a coordinating conjunction like "and," so a comma typically precedes it. You're all hysterical right now, so I won't bother taking the argument further. " Either one will do.

Put a comma before "so." "So" is a coordinating conjunction like "and," so a comma typically precedes it.

"Discussion" would work just as well as "argument." Either one will do. Hope that helps!
