What's the difference between these two:

Are you going to do it?

And

Hi, There's really no, or very little, difference in your examples. When I begin teaching 'going to' for the future. I usually say 'use it when you are talking about some sort of plan '.

There's really no, or very little, difference in your examples.

When I begin teaching 'going to' for the future. I usually say 'use it when you are talking about some sort of plan'.
Then later, I teach more details.

Almost none.

Are you going ... is closer to Have you planned ...
Will you ... is closer to Have you decided ...

There are other nuances, of course.
