Question

Hi

I am looking for the meaning of the phrase "credited against"

This comes from the contact I have looked on the net.

The wording is

"Cost of the concept stage is 4000 dollars payable to XYZ Builders. Should you use XYZ buliders to construct your new home at the new address, the cost of concept stage will be credited against your final progress payment invoice."

Thanks
