Hi teachers,

Is there anything wrong with this sentence? Punctuation and capital letters are ok?

'book of + the title' won't work.

More natural:

Mr. Landon, has my book come in yet? OR Mr. Landon, has my book order come in yet?

Mr. Landon then asks you which book and you tell him it's A History of France.

Note that I changed the punctuation. I had to look it up myself as punctuation is not my forte. Book titles are placed in italics, not in quotes.

My last example was already in italics, so to show a difference I underlined the title.

Hi Jim,

One more to go, please.

Then if I ask this questios, should it be 'a' or 'b'?

a) How long has Mrs. Jones been waiting for her copy?

b) How long has Mrs. Jones been waiting for her book?

Thanks

Hi Jim,

Thank you for this one too.

'book of + the title' won't work. It has to be 'copy of + the title'.

But if you don't mention the title, 'book' is correct!

Point taken!
