Information to consider:

The students have read a story, and in the story are words that have been explained with synonmys or phrases that are in a glossary. One of the exercises after the story is to fill in the blanks.

My question is about the directions. Which one would be better? Is there a better one?

a) Fill in the blanks by choosing the appropriate synonyms from the glossary according to the given numbers.

b) Fill in the blanks by choosing the appropriate synonyms from the given glossary's numbers.

This is the exercise. There are more words in the glossary, this is just an example.
