As I've said before, my feeling is that your instructions seem to me too complicated.

And I don't like to ask people to complete sentences that are mainly a lot of consecutive 'blanks',

eg ____ ______ _____________ TV.

Well let write you a couple of more comentaries about 'a lot of' consecutive blanks. First of, I don't think I have a lot of them, only a few. On the other hand, why do I have these blank spaces? Because students asked me to do so. They said, "Most of the books have just one line to complete either the question or the answer, sometimes 2 lines, and that's very confusing, because

Thanks for the background information. I understand what you are saying.

As I said, I think that as a teacher you are the one who best knows the students or readers, and you ultimately have to rely on your own judgement. I'm sure you will make good and thoughtful decisions.
