Hi Samsia, Stress words are the words that are important. Noun and verbs are often stressed, negatives so can is unstressed but can't is stressed. If the word is important stress it, if the sentence isn't finished but a pause is required then rising intonation gives the listener the knowledge that you are continuing speaking.
