'I suspect my hasty decision wouldn’t be considered ethical; but, after all, the important is to follow the business which will be most congenial and pleasant.'

'but after all' fits here?

' 'but after all' fits here? If you want to use the conjunction 'but', then don't use the semi-colon. Or, omit the 'but', keep the semi-colon, and thus just leave the two clauses juxtaposed for the reader to contemplate and find the contrast by himself.

Shouldn't it be, "I suspect my hasty decision won't ..." or "I suspectedmy hasty decision wouldn't ..."? Or am I mistaken (once more)?

The overall sentence means that it's better to do what's enjoyable than to do what is ethical.

So I guess I should try to find another than 'follow the business'. or what u think... ?

i meant that it is to follow the most pleasant and good job.

ultimately, the future is the factor point, and not any thing else.
