Qualifications

Talking about the qualifications and experience on my resume. I say:

Most if it are real. Or

Most if it is real.

Can both be used? Which one is the correct answer if it is said.

Thank you.

I'll go with most if it is real because it makes sence and the other one doesn't.

The pronoun it can’t take a plural verb, so use is.

But I'm talking about a lot of experience and qualifications, so shouldn't it be plural anyway, because it's more than one.

No, that would be incorrect grammar. Most of it refers to all of the qualifications and experience listed on your resume. If you’re thinking about them as individual items rather than a whole, then Most of them are real should do the trick.

At least I'm being honest. There are lots of resumes that are just stacked with false qualifications.

I think you meant 'of', not 'if'.

No. Make the agreement with the word after 'of' when using the expression "most of".

Most of it is real.
Most of them are real.

Hi,

If I read that most of your qualifications are real, I will immediately wonder which of them are fake.
And toss your application in the garbage.

There is something wrong with the logic here, but that's too off-topic to go into on a grammar forum.

A lot of people looking for jobs tend to fix up their resumes to look more professional. I'm not saying my credentials are fake, but it's just been worded so that it makes me seem more qualified. That's all.
