Quadruple/quintuple v quadruplet/quintuplet ( as NOUNS )

Hi there,

Which shall I use meaning a subset of four/five objects taken from a larger set?

Example:

"Select another quadruple(t) from the given population and check if ..."

Thanks in advance!

Thanks, Mister Micawber!

If you could elaborate a little more on these 'enigmatic' nouns?

(1) In technical literature, "triple" ( but not triplet ? :-) is used often enough as a synonym (noun) to "three objects" etc, correct?

(2) If 'triple' is passable (in tech jargon at least), what are similar ( tech jargon ) terms designating a group of four/five objects?

'Triple' is an adjective, Vlad. However, jargon or not, your attempted uses serve only to confuse the reader. Be simple, be direct. Good native writers are.
