Q12: 'Sara (visits / is visiting) her friend every day

Hi there teachers,

Please help me with the following sentence.

The sentence is:

- Sara  __________ (a. is visiting, b. visits) her friend Jessica every day, because Jessica has been sick for a few weeks and Sara is the only friend she has.

I think 'is visiting' is the verb that is appropriate in that context, because Sara's visits to her friend Jessica every day are only temporary. She's done that (visiting Jessica every day) only since she fell sick. Am I right, teachers? I also would like you to tell me If 'visits' is possible or not.

Thank you.

The present simple does not imply the temporary idea that the progressive form does.
