Q11: What's the difference, please ('over and over again' and 'again and again')
Hello teachers,
I have a question about 'over and over again', please.
= He said something right before he died. He said "You are not real" and he kept repeating it over and over again.
(Can we just say 'again and again' in place of 'over and over again'? Would there be any difference in the meaning of the sentence if we did so, please?)
Thank you.
Top answer
Not much difference. 'Over and over again' sounds to me a bit more emphatic.
