PV

Phrasal verbs subdivide into two groups. The ones in which we put the object after the verb and before the prep. and which take the obj. after the prep.(some have the both qualities)
For exapme, "put someone up" belongs to the former group, and "take something over" to the latter. Can you remind me the apt term?

Thanks

That's what I thought...But is it the apt grammatical term?

Well, I checked with websites about phrasal verbs, that's what they use. There may be other terms, though.

If so that's fine, thank you, Anne.
