Puttng 'when' clause in a sentence

In order to delete the highlighted item, press the “Delete" button, and when the confirm dialog is shown, press the “Yes(Y)” button in it.

Is my sentence correct and natural?

I wonder if the "when..." part works well.

Thanks

Hi guys,
press the “Yes(Y)” button in it.

More common is simply press 'yes'. Often , we say 'select' instead of 'press'.
