putting "s" after level

Hi I dont understand when to put "s" after level? Thank you for you help in advance

Here are examples from dictionary:
1) Inflation fell to its lowest level in 30 years
2) Increased supplies are needed to meet the level of demand
3) Dolphins show a high level of intelligence
4) Some kinds of fish contain high levels of dangerous metals
5) Sales have reached record levels
6) Noise levels are unacceptably high
7) Wage levels had failed to keep up with inflation
8) I find exercise helps with my stress levels
9) Pollution levels have fallen slightly
