No meaning in particular. Clumsy English and obscure in meaning. Probably means the person may have a person of either *** to dine.

Hi,

This probably relates to a situation in a public dining room, often of a hotel, where the manager is in charge of seating and where guests share a table. If I'm seated at a table and another guest comes in to eat, the manager may put the man or the woman at my table.

Best wishes, Clive
