Do I say,

1 The motorcyclists parked / put their motors in the bus stop during the rain.

2 The motorcyclists are parking their motors at the bus stop when the rain started.

Thanks, I change the sentences:

1 They parked / put their motorcycle in the bus stop during the rain.

2 They are parking their motorcycle at the bus stop when the rain started.

This gives the impression that you are talking about more than one person, each with a motorcycle. In that case, it would be better as: They parked their motorcycles at the bus stop when the rain started.
