Put out

"Put out" meaning in lyrics in Rolling stones song Beast of burden

You can put me out
On the street
Put me out
With no shoes on my feet
But put me out, put me out
Put me out of misery, yeah

I have 2 options - to have sex or let someone go/kick someone out of your house..?

Thanks

piano blue 825 "Put out" meaning in lyrics in Rolling stones song Beast of burden I have to agree that *** is alway a possibility in a Stones song, but I don't see it here. He plays with the phrase "to put X out", using two of its meanings. To put him out on the street means to eject him from the house, the way you might put the cat out before you go to bed.
