In Indian English, it it common to use "put off" meaning "turn off". Would you say it works naturally?
Don't forget to put off the AC before you go out.
Thanks,
Tom

Not in BrE, no. I couldn't say that nobody ever says it, but "turn off" or "switch off" are the natural phrases.
