Put my CV together

Hi

I came across this text :

"I was working for X-Group, and one day a colleague pointed out this job in Chile. We both thought it would be a good idea, but I was the one who put a CV together."

I think here put a CV together means applied for the job.
But here is what my dictionary tells about put together.

? put to ' gether [transitive]
1 to produce or organize something using many different things
Initially, they simply put together a series of guidelines.
The exhibition has been put together by a group of young artists.
2 to make something by joining all its parts
Will you help me put this desk together?
3 to choose people or things to form a team or group
A team of experts has been put together to examine the effects of global warming.
4 than someone/something put together used for saying that someone or something is better or bigger than the whole of a group of other people or things
He knows more about computers than the rest of them put together.

I just can't figure out which explanation works for the above example. Have I missed sth? Or is "put a CV together" an expression?

Thanks
