put it on hold?

Experts,

Suppose if you can't make up your mind in buying clothes, and if you want the store to put it on hold for a while, say like for a couple hours or a day, or so.
What kind of expressions can be used? Can you say something like "Can you put this on hold for me for an hour so?" or "Can you hold this for me for an hour or so?"

Thank you for your kind advice.
