Put in touch

I received an email which says: Contact admin @ example.com and request to be put in touch with John @ example.com. Mention the code "BX73" . They should be able to take care of you from there. What should I do now?

"put in touch" means I should send an email to admin @ example.com correct, what should I write inside the email? Thanks.

According to that, you ultimately need to talk to John. I don't understand why you would need to send an email to "admin" rather than just send it to John, when they have given you John's email address. I would copy the text of the email to "admin", explain to them (or remind them) what the issue is, and ask them if they can do whatever needs doing.

I guess this is something that I should send to admin @ example.com:

Hello,

I received an email from Peter. He says "Contact admin @ example.com and request to be put in touch with John @ example.com. Mention the code "BX73" . They should

netePeter asked me to contact admin @ example.com and mention the code "BX73".
This doesn't seem necessary. You already said it.

I would mention what this email relates to, in case the person receiving the mail is not familiar with the case.
