Put everything in place

1. Does "But the Gulf War put everything in place" mean "But the Gulf War showed that she was tight"?

2. Does "pathological structuring of masculinity" mean "the pathological structure of the masculine space"?

Context:

American-born Mary Kelly worked extensively in England on activist paintings that focused on women. The first Gulf War inspired a major work. Gloria Patri (1992), which consisted of five text-laden shields.6 As she notes:
The whole question of power seemed to involve thinking about the construction of masculinity rather than femininity for the woman. I also felt it had been altogether too easy to say that men have a less difficult role in
the oedipal scenario. I mean, it might also be appropriate to think about the man’s relation to the feminine term. So this was on the agenda when I started working on Gloria Patri.
But the Gulf War put everything in place:
This is what I think of as the ethnographic material; events observed and recorded – not literally recorded – but noted in my sketchbook for about two or three years before I even start a project. So during the war, it was mostly
what I heard on television. There was a very interesting but eerie kind of distance involved in watching that spectacle … watching the commentators, watching the soldiers making their comments on it. I just kept track of those comments and thought about it. Now I can see the pathological structuring of masculinity that this specific condition – the Gulf war – provoked.
