put commas where?

I got these sentences from a reply given by Marius and am wondering if commas are necessary to separate the adjectives. Do you have a tread where the placement of the comma in a mutiple adjective situation is well discussed ?

The pagoda-like two-story construction of the watch.

The time is enclosed in this watch is a two-level shell-like construction.
