Pushy demanding

Hi.
May I replace 'pushy' with 'aggressive' in:
"One potential process is that peers both reject an individual demonstrating CD (http://focus.psychiatryonline.org/article.aspx?Volume=2&page=558&journalID=21#Coie-and-Miller-Johnson-2001) and reinforce pushy and demanding behaviors through acquiescence. "

And what does demanding mean in the above sentence?

Top answer

Yes, I think 'pushy' and 'aggressive' are reasonably synonymous here. 'Demanding' means just what is says: demanding things. Give me that!
