Push offs

Can you please, tell me what is the meaning of this word in this context. Thank you in advance.

I'm worried that I'll be bothered by the orthosis-that I won't be comfortable pushing off.
For ZAMST, the three fundamental qualities of an orthosis made to play sports are effectiveness, ease of use and comfort.
Effectiveness to ensure you get the best protection.
Ease of use to guarantee optimum positioning of the orthosis and to encourage you to wear it regularly.
Comfort so that you are not hindered in your movements and you retain sensation and confidence in push-offs, which drive your performance.

Example: You incurred a sprain a few weeks ago and the doctor has authorized you to recommence training provided that you protect yourself.

It doesn't specify, it applies to all sorts of sports. So, I gues it means any push-off that a person might use as a part of their sport or discipline.
