For me,
Push me against the wall - you were pushed and made contact with the wall - possibly for a brief moment, maybe longer.

I sense more energy, even violence perhaps, when up is added. I'd never ask anyone to push me up against a wall, and I'd find it strange for someone to ask me to push them up against a wall.
Without up, you may already be against the wall. Maybe you want someone to apply pressure to relieve some back pain, or something of that nature.
