Purpose of?

Dear Users,

The following sentence sounds incorrect to me. Is it OK to say "purpose of music" ?

I really admire Stevie Wonder. Not just because he won 25 Grammy Awards, but also because of his purpose of music.

Thanks

I think what she wanted to say was something along the lines of...

"I admire Stevie Wonder's sense of purpose when it comes to making music" ?

I don't really know myself...
