Punctuation to disambiguate

It validates my point that kids can't be trusted.

Should we write this in a clearer way? Or does a comma before 'that' determine clear up if the underlined clause is the antecedent of it or if it is defining 'point'?

"It" refers to something outside of this sentence -- something that was mentioned earlier.

The sentence does not mean:

The fact that kids can't be trusted validates my point.

though some of your post seems to indicate that you think it does.
