Punctuation--At wits end

Punctuation for the phrase "wits end"... Dictionary had questionable punctuation in the below examples. To me, the apostrophe should be placed before the s if one person is at wit's end, and after the s if two or more people are at wits' end.

Can someone explain please?

I am at my wit's end.

I have a problem that has me at wit's end

at your wits' end

at our wits' end
