Punctuation

Hi everyone!

In direct speech, would you say -

"Wow! You're getting better every day!" or "Wow! you're getting better every day!"

I'm not sure if 'y' after 'Wow!' should be in uppercase or lowercase.

Could you kindly explain?

They used to do that in the nineteenth century. You can't do it now.
