Punctuation?

Hi, everyone.

Could you tell me whether the use of parenthesis in this sentence correct?

However, novel though this metaphorical interpretation of Moore’s style may be, it offers the student of style no retrievable or shared point of reference in language, no metalanguage(a form of language or set of terms used for the description or analysis of another language), with which to evaluate what the critic is trying to say.
