Punctuation

Are the following sentences correctly punctuated, please?

1) This is what I ate for breakfast: an apple and a bowl of cereal.

2) He knocked several times; no one came to the door.

3) My sister loves mysteris; my brother likes comic.

4) Here is what you need to get at the supermarket: bananas, bread, milk and biscuits.

5) The window was open; I looked out over the empty field.

The sentences 2,3, & 5 with semicolons are good. The sentences with colons would be better if the word that touches the colon is what you are listing, for example: 1) For breakfast I ate the 2 different foods : and apple and a bowl of cereal . 4) At the supermarket you need to get several things : bananas , bread , milk and biscuits .
