punctuation

I was just wondering if I am using all the correct punctuation in this writing "The Hittites established trade with the Mesopotamia area and soon influenced their trade to Syria, the Levant, and upper Euphrates River region, but that eventually led to war with the Egyptians." my main concern was the comma before the 'but' is it correct?
