Punctuation?

In this small piece, is the punctuation used correct? Particularly in the line beginning "She always worried too much".

Andrew surveyed the sea of blue which lay before him. It sparkled in the midday heat, as the waves gently kissed the shore. His eyes then fell upon the beach, alive with human life, and he recalled his mother’s parting words to him:

“Don’t swim in the sea. The current has brought death to many boys like you.”

She always worried too much, Andrew thought, as he paddled in the shallow water.

“HELP! Someone has drowned!” a startled voice cried out.

Andrew turned around abruptly, and he stared in devastation at the body on the shore…

It was his own.
