Hello everybody,
Could you please check my sentences as for commas? Thanks a million.

1) It enables Edinburgh to retain its unique character, so popular with tourists.

2) This monument, founded in 1160 but not completed until 1318, was destroyed during the Reformation in the 16th century.

3) The palace as we can see it today dates back to the beginning of the 19th century when it was built in the neo-gothic style.

4) Other state apartments host collections of paintings, porcelain and furniture especially designed for the palace. (IS IT CLEAR THAT ONLY THE FURNITURE WAS DESIGNED ESPECIALLY FOR THE PALACE, NOT THE PORCELAIN?)

5) About the castle: Its impregnability is even underlined by its great defensive walls protecting the whole area of the castle which served as a home for Scottish kings and queens, a fortress and a military base. (IS THIS SENTENCE CLEAR? I TRY NOT TO REPEAT THE WORD "CASTLE" SO I USED "WHICH" BUT THE SENTENCE NOW SEEMS QUITE COMPLICATED TO ME...)

6) Today, you can find there a chapel and a replica of the original Stone of Destiny which is now preserved in Edinburgh Castle. (IS IT CLEAR THAT THE ORIGINAL STONE IS PRESERVED IN EDINBURGH? NOT THE REPLICA...)

7) This large circular monument symbolizes the opposing armies, with a pole in the centre which is said to be placed right there where Robert the Bruce sticked his sword. (IS IT UNDERSTANDABLE THAT THE POLE IS IN THE CENTRE OF THE MONUMENT?)

Thank you.
