Find the right credit card, and apply online.
1. Do we need to include the comma in red, since 'and' joins two independent clauses/imperative sentences?
2. If not, why?

The clauses are so short that a comma is unnecessary in my opinion, though I don't see anything wrong with including it if you wish. CJ
